Lenovo SIGM Acer Cp HP Pavilion Acer Aspire E 15 Laptop, It would make more sense to put it in something with poor integrated graphics to help boost the cpu performance a bit.

RAM is memory on that we can agree. Went into O2 shop to check the end date of my contract. Was told it was that same day ie 3 Oct. Obv that he was trying to get me into a new contract. Later on I checked with O2 and was told it was in fact 16 Nov!!! I have the i7 version of this with 32gb ram and 1tb ssd for work. Laptop is great as its very light, thin, fine battery get 5hours for general use although it used to be a full day and its perfect for every day use. The material used for the lid isnt the best.

I found mine wore away just from being in a laptop sleeve! Due to the software we use which utilise all cpu cores and ram I find that this edition of the Intel chip is slightly slower than the previous version of the same spec. Hope this helps someone. But they are good laptops. Expect signs of use, possibly heavy, from this seller.

Don't fall for their feedback being as it seems. Anything to look for in particular Very disappointed with the Pixel 4 announcement. I've got the P3 and won't be upgrading. The battery is bad enough as it is, let alone smaller and a 90Hz display. Not eGlobal etc. Still the unknown at present though , so like I stated it's too early to actually dismiss it so easily , proof is in the pudding. Agreed sounds small but surely Google must have done the homework?? Without it being a lemon on launch There's no real signs Google have done anything major with the battery drain on Android 10, it's strange a brand new device is let down by having a tiny battery, which would be small even with a 60Hz screen.

It seems about the going rate BUT Dell normally carries a slightly bigger price tag than some other brands I'm not making it up! Once burnt, twice shy is my motto. This return had me banging my head against the wall, stressed me out so much, most certainly the most time I've ever had to put into a faulty return.

The thing was, I opened it up and set up W10 and my sons account, checked it all worked okay and boxed it back up and gave it to him on his birthday a month later. Amazon wouldn't get involved and the retailer just referred me to Manufactorer.

For anyone who has taken the plunge - use one of these. I disagree with comments saying the Linx 12X64 isn't any good and Laptop Outlet Direct are "a bunch of cowboys". For the money the 12X64 is unbeatable. Mine has now replaced my Android tablet, and the keyboard means it's more flexible than the tablet ever was.

Regarding Laptop Outlet Direct the one time I had to return something I found the experience seamless. The refund was processed within 24 hours of them receiving the returned item. Yes - This model is somewhat of an exception. Currently trying to fix my nephews bought new in I finally think it's RIP for this one. The problem I have is that I'm trying to make sure the Laptop isn't just a passing fancy, and that once I have it I'll use it 2 or 3 times then it'll end up in the laptop bag with the other one.

So I'm doing research now, and maybe aiming for a present to myself around christmas :D It started when I played about with Steam in home streaming, which I can use on my low end Linx 10 tablet. So I pulled out the old laptop and immediately start feeling all the regret, starting with the screen, then realising even all these years later about the CPU, and it's heavy. So my initial thought was just to look for a cheap laptop with an i5 and a good p screen. And that's where I've fallen into the trap of all these manufacturers that want to solder 4gb to the mobo limiting future trouble shooting or upgrading, especially since Ryzen benefits so much from dual channel.

What a mess. Anyway, I've cool story bro'd you enough. I've already got U as a keyword, I'm going to add Ryzen and Laptop to my notifications. See you on the hunt! Follow me if you think it'll help, I do like a bargain but that also makes me a bit indecisive, always searching for something a bit cheaper or better value, that's why we're here right? It took me ages surfing the net and these pages looking for the right gaming laptop at the right price. There is always a slightly better machine for an extra few quid, I eventually ended up spending more than I had planned to get the highest spec I could, the deal was pretty good and the next jump up was quite significant, more than i was willing to pay.

The same laptop is still available on the same site for more than I paid so I'm fairly happy I got a good deal but I expect you could get a better spec machine for similar money now. I have drawn the line there as I have to buy some expensive software to go with it but there's always that slightly better one for The only experience I've had with Lenovo is the kids tablets. I bought two reconditioned units from Argos eBay, one died and got sent back, the other is still going 3 years later without a hitch and the lad loves it a bit too much but then he doesn't care about bloatware.

When I finally find what I'm looking for I will post it, either on the thread where I find it or in my own deal post if I find it myself. Happy searching and good luck let us know what you decide too. I need to mark you as a follow or something myk, I feel like we're on the same journey here, trying to avoid being landed with buyers remorse. Although I didn't find any professional reviews it's very hard with HP part numbers being so obscure , I did find this guy on youtube a similar model and spec, it has the Ryzen U, but I think he has a bigger HD or something.

Then another video shows the machine headphone warning loud music at the start being taken apart for an upgrade, so not a review as much as a guide, but it will give you a good look. The screen is an awful x ghosty mess, I can't even change out the panel to p because they cheaped out on the connector on the board, upgrading the hard drive required an obscene amount of disassembly, the processor was 2 core when I thought it was 4 my bad and it was the previous gen than I thought also my bad, was going into hospital at the time and didn't have a lot of time to really research , every time I've brought this thing out I've just felt pangs of buyers remorse, and I want to make sure I do the right research this time.

So many laptops in the budget range seem to be full of bad screens, soldered un-upgradeable memory and sometimes un-upgradeable storage. The one brand that keeps coming up well in terms of specs is Lenovo, but I have a hard time even considering this brand given its very sketchy history with installing bloat and spyware, going so far as to hide it in the BIOS so that even a clean install of windows would be compromised. These things were only found out after the fact, and I feel like the apple tends not to fall far from the tree, and it makes me wary of even considering the brand.

But please let me know if these concerns aren't needed now. Did anyone push the button on this. I'm interested in the build quality and performance if anyone can help? Hi alared. The Lenovo looks like a really good deal. I am looking for my son who needs a laptop for school he has dyslexia so he needs it to run office and text to speech software but he also wants one he can play games on, gaming laptops are too heavy for him to carry to school and back, plus they tend to be battery hungry so probably won't last the day not to mention the possibility it could get damaged etc.

The HPs smaller form factor appealed to me as it's lighter and takes up less room on his school desk. I just need to find something with these specs at the lowest price possible without being cheap and nasty. The hunt goes on, for now Whilst I agree there are limitations, it can be circumvented with a clean install of windows that doesn't have all the bloat ware of HP's build, although obviously not ideal for new pc.

My daughter used hers first year at uni and when she came back for the break I wiped and reinstalled windows and loads more room. To be fair for homework purpose even after auto updates have ended. My 11 year old won't need to shop or online bank x. I have actually found out that you Can update a chrome book once auto updates have stoped. You can update via Cloudready in Developer mode and it's maintained by Neverware you might not get all the new features that the Google updates bring but will update it for the security. I knew there had to be away to do it. Hi mate, Can't work out how to get a link but from home page search for Pixel 4 XL, when the results come up scroll down to bottom and click "More Deals", it should be the next one that comes up.

See photo of basket. Why is face unlock more secure? Especially since it allows the device to be unlocked without touching it from a distance. FYI - You can get this deal from e2save also part of Carphone Warehouse for slightly less if anyone is interested. I was intending to use it as a monitor for blueiris client only but want to be able to shut the display off when required - would make a cleaner setup.

Might go PC stick or mini PC and monitor approach instead.

Thanks Op. I would like to just clarify my comments re: laptop processor. I still think this is a good deal and will be a nice snappy pc providing you don't plan on storing loads of data, pictures and videos. I agree with your point on fingerprint scanner. But, while I am driving, I use the maps as a GPS, and have an old car, so I would use gestures for changing songs, taking calls It has a limited audience on here unfortunately. Why is this being voted cold? Voted hot as cost of phone on par with previous launches and yet with a free chromebook makes this a great deal for anyone looking to upgrade.

Love my Pixel 3XL but only had it a few months so can't justify the purchase unfortunately. So tempted to get this. Anybody know if it comes with bag and mouse as advertised on the Asus site? Look at the games you play, they will give you recommended system spec to play the games. You just need to look into it.

Better off reading up yourself what you need as everyone here will have a different opinion, and conflicting answers. Im hoping someone can help me here, im planning to get a gaming laptop laptop cause i dont wanna go through a hassle of moving a desktop when i move homes each year.

Ive been trying to decide on one since a couple of months ago and havent been able to decide on one cause there seem to be mixed reviews on everything. Casual gamer OW, league etc. Can any of the veterans here help explain what to look for in terms of specs of a laptop?
